Kyoto - A walk along the Path of Philosophy

Kyoto was relaxing. We had our first adventure with breakfast where we learned how to eat rice for breakfast properly (you crunch up your seaweed on top of the rice and mix in some of the other toppings first with soy sauce). Next we took a city bus (and didn't end up back in Mobara magically) to a series of temples and shrines that meander along the edge of town where the forests and hillsides begin. This was straight out of Fodor's (thanks Grandma and Grandpa!) and followed the Path of Philosophy. The day ended with a multi-course dinner in our room - Japanese style, of course.
